And now for a very special announcement...
Last night, after a romantic dinner out in Amsterdam celebrating my 49th birthday, my partner and true love presented me with an antique engagement ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes. Several times, I do believe.
So, pardon my lack of posts. I have a lot to tell you: warnings of Amsterdam hotels, tips on traveling to Bulgaria and Veliko Turnovo...but first, I have some phone calls to make and some good news to announce, oh, yes, and a wedding to plan!

ReplyDeleteThank you Jean, I very much like what you said.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog it sparkles and is unique - like the ring - and I am sure like you are.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Bill told me the news the other day and I had him extend congratulations, but he may have been too busy with his new position so today he gave me the link and I thought I would drop over and say in person:
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! When's the wedding?
Thanks Gardener, for your sweet comment and for identifying that flower for me!! Thank you Scott W..I truly enjoy your blog and I love that you start each day being grateful. I appreciate everyone's good wishes...I'm walking on air!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! And this is not my ring, but the closest pic I could find on the net. Mine is an antique german design. I just got it back from the jeweler's after resizing and cleaning, and I'm so thrilled to have it back on my finger. I do love this pic, though, unusual and stunning ring, I think.
